The accommodation we chose was Aonang Phu Petra Resort. They have quite good reviews and what I like about the resort is that it's sort of located in the middle of no where and the surroundings are limestones and trees and grass. Feels like a relaxing place to be, away from the urban buildings and noisy city.

By the way, there's a 1 hour time difference between Singapore and Krabi.

It's about 30 minutes ride from the airport to our resort and seeing the beautiful limestones tells us that we're close!

So this is the resort pool - which I really love, because it has a beautiful view of the limestones. Imagine yourself relaxing in the pool while enjoying the view!

The room we booked was actually Hillside Villa, however, when we checked in, we were given a free upgrade to the poolside villa! Woohoo!

This is the room! It's quite spacious and clean! However, be warned that there might be mosquitoes in the room and it's common because of the resort's location. So unless you can overlook the mosquitoes, I would't think you'll love it here.

The bathroom is really big too. It has a shower area and bathtub too. I love where the basin is positioned.

After taking a tour around the room, we take the hotel shuttle bus (tuk tuk) to Ao Nang Beach. This is the view from the tuk tuk. There's 2 different kind of tuk tuk, one is the one that we took (shown below), it's like a van with seats at the back. And the other kind of tuk tuk is the motorcycle taxis, which I will show you somewhere at the bottom of this post.

This is where the shuttle bus will drop us, in front of the Ao Nang Beach Mcdonalds. The shuttle bus operates hourly, when you check in the resort, they will actually give you a small slip of paper which has the resort wifi password as well as the shuttle bus timetable. Very thoughtful of them to do so, so that you know when's the next service or when they will be fetching you back to the resort.

(Below) The famous Ao Nang Beach Walking Street. There are many shops along the road, but they mostly sell similar items - beach wear, floats etc. Remember to bargain and check with other shops before deciding to buy as you never know if you will come across the same item at a lower price!

At the end of the walking street is the Ao Nang Beach. Beautiful view.

If you're in Krabi during the weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), you must visit the biggest Weekend Night Market in Krabi Town. You can easily hire a motorcycle tuk tuk taxi to get to Krabi Town. It's about 30 minutes ride and we managed to hire a tuk tuk at 800Baht (SGD$31) for round trip, the driver will wait for you at your drop off point till you are ready to go back to your resort.
Motorcycle Tuk tuk taxi is actually quite similar to a trishaw, except that it's a lot faster, and so sand may easily get into your eyes or your hair may end up in a mess when you alight. If you're uncomfortable with this, you can always arrange with your hotel/resort for a air conditioned cab (higher charges though).

The popular landmark of Krabi Town is their traffic lights. When you see this 4 traffic lights, you'll know that you're at Krabi Town. The traffic lights are being held by a macho man, kinda seems like he's lifting weights (traffic lights).
Depending on where you alight, it's usually just a few minutes walk to the Weekend Night Market. You can ask your way around. The people there are usually friendly and helpful.

On weekends, what seems to be a normal road during the weekdays, will be closed and transform into the long stretch of night market. There is lots of food stalls, souvenirs stalls, handmade craft stalls, apparels stalls and etc!

If you are a fan of night market, this is the place you must visit when you're in Krabi!

In the center of the Weekend Night Market is a huge stage where local artists perform and karaoke goes on. You can find a table to seat and munch on your food while enjoying free performances. Or you can even practice one or two Thai songs and see if there is a chance for you to go up and showcase your singing!

We came across this Takoyaki stall and bought one serving (30Baht / SGD$1.20) to try it out.

Kinda taste similar to the authentic Japanese Takoyaki, but sweeter.

There is lots of food you can find here! This BBQ skewer stall has every item at 20 Baht (SGD$0.80) each.

We settled our dinner at this restaurant - Bistro Bar.

Pineapple Fried Rice is one of the popular Thai dish that you must try. I really love the Pineapple Fried Rice from this restaurant as there is raisins and nuts in the rice! It's really yummy! It's 120 Baht (SGD$$4.70).

Their Tom Yum Goong is not that spicy, so if you can't really take too spicy food, you might be able to take this. This dish cost 150Baht (SGD$5.90).

When you're in Krabi, you must try the Banana Pancake with Nutella! It's really tasty. The pancake is really crispy and together with Banana and Nutella, it's the perfect combination! Per serving cost 40Baht (SGD$1.60).
